Of all the Hufflepuffs I've seen open these things, I can't think of a single one which didn't turn up with some drama. Which, given the nature of their House 'type,' does not seem to hold water.
Cowardly Gryffindors. Sacrificing Slytherins. Ravenclaws less interested in books than the real world. Possible? Plausible? Discuss and watch me not give a crippled Hippogriff.
Incidentally, regarding balls:
It is amazing how much frippery is wasted on the ugly and the talentless. Oh, I'm sorry, was I supposed to couch that in more pleasing terms?
When have any of you ever known me to be pleasant?
I can be polite when the occasion requires. Relaxed, in certain circumstances. But I am always me. How many of you can say the same? Hypocrisy seems to be a trait shared by more than just Slytherin house, if you ask me. At least we try, nine times out of ten, to say and do exactly as we please.
Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to get very, very drunk.
